SKS stands for 7Solutions Calibration Service, or in Dutch, 7Solutions Kalibratie Service. A gas detector has one job: to protect you when it matters. Behind that sits maintenance. The device has to be cleaned, calibrated and certified, and someone has to keep track of when it is due again.
At many companies that runs on an Excel sheet, a calendar reminder and the hope that nothing gets forgotten. With SKS we take that whole process off your hands. For one price, agreed in advance.
One fixed price for the full life of the device
When you buy a gas detector from us, you can add SKS right away. We set the price at that moment. It stays the same for as long as the device is in use, provided you bring it to us for maintenance at the agreed interval. That way you know where you stand at every service, and there are no surcharges for work that simply belongs to proper maintenance.
SKS includes:
- periodic calibration
- preventive maintenance
- professional cleaning
- calibration certification and calibration sticker
- registration in the SKS database
- automatic management and reminder service
- administrative handling and invoicing
- return shipping of the device
If maintenance shows that a part is defective or damaged, only the replacement parts are charged separately.
You do not have to keep track
This may be the biggest advantage of SKS. As soon as a device joins SKS, we record its details: the serial number, the owner or manager, the calibration interval you want and any agreements that apply to your organization. From then on, we keep an eye on when the device is due again.
One month before the scheduled calibration, you receive a notice from us. It states which device, with which serial number, needs calibrating. You send the device to 7Solutions, or contact us if you want service on site. We also offer service while you wait.
So there is no spreadsheet to maintain and no need to remember which serial number is due when. We think of it before you have to.
The full history in one place
Every calibration our technical department performs is recorded in the SKS database. Each device gets its own log, which you can find in one place. We developed the database together with Brytend.
It holds, among other things:
- device details and serial numbers
- owner and manager
- maintenance and calibration intervals
- completed calibrations
- agreements that apply to your organization
- specifics of the device
Calibration and maintenance under ISO 9001
Our calibration and maintenance work, including everything covered by SKS, follows documented procedures within our ISO 9001-certified quality management system. This means every device is handled in a consistent and structured way, with all relevant work recorded. You have a clear overview of your equipment’s maintenance and calibration history, making it easier to see which tasks have been carried out.
These records help you monitor the reliability of your gas detection equipment and provide valuable input for your risk assessment (RA). This gives you the information needed to support your safety procedures and demonstrate how the maintenance of your equipment is managed.
From loose device to managed asset
With SKS, a gas detector becomes a professionally managed asset. After purchase, we register the device. The cycle then runs by itself: reminder, cleaning, maintenance, calibration, certification, registration and return shipping. Then it starts again, year after year, for as long as the device is in use.
Any service department can calibrate a device. With SKS, we also know which device you have, which interval applies to it and what its history is. We remind you when it is time, clean, check and calibrate the device, record everything and send it back. We do this from the day of purchase until the device is taken out of service.
You use the devices, 7Solutions takes care of the rest.
